The first day in the Northwoods, we did not want to travel too far for a lake. The area has one of, if not the, highest density of lakes in the world. It was not hard to find a good spot to swim. The folks at Big Bear recommended driving up the road to Nichols Lake. The bugs weren’t bad and the beach was sandy. There were 2 small dogs.
The dog with the fluffy fish tail, Barbie, yapped. The other dog, nameless to me, was a mix between a chihuahua and a wiener dog, called a chiweenie. I got it over to our blanket, and it sniffed my towel, then began rolling around my head.
Wild cloud trip and a small dog licking your face.
