My friends Via and Pierce had a vegetarian cookout in Pilsen. It was held in celebration of Via’s brother, Dana, visiting from DC. Via and Dana had come in to Xoco a couple times together in previous visits, so his foodie brother wanted to cook for me. He made grilled eggplant with tangy goat cheese and puttanesca: it was great.
We had grilled peaches and figs for dessert, as well as the assortment of pie I brought over. Earlier that afternoon I cleared out Hoosier Mama.
