It’s the cat days of summer. Etta and I were going to go see Pierce do sound at Millennium Park: the kick off for the summer concert series. Instead we said F-it and stayed in the AC with the cat. Roly Poly is a frozen chocolate-chip meringato.
I was happy because I was owning in Quake 2. We played all the non-quad maps: Cacophony, Twin Temples Lush, Send in the Clones, Outpost Omega, Rampless and even Fleeting Fury.
I had put in over 4 hours practice in DM earlier in the afternoon, listening to my political podcasts. I took a break and had a meatball sub from Bari. When I came back to the Acme Q2CTF public server I got off to a slow start. Angry (aka bluebird, aka immersion, aka a guy from California who doesn’t own a cellphone) rightly said, “Reefer sux.” Angry and I teamed up. I started flowing through maps, hitting rails, making the pros like Bonkers, The Cleaner, Link, and Bones feel the pain!
