I had a stretch of luck, I guess you could call it good luck or bad luck, and in that, it was unexpected. First I lost my wallet. I didn’t even have a dollar to tip the coat check at the manager dinner. However my next door neighbor found it, left me a note, and returned it for me entirely in tact.
The next day my phone showed the zoom screen, and then stopped working. I brought it to the AT&T store, but they had no clue what to do, so I went to the Apple Store on Michigan Avenue and waiting for 2 hours to see a Genius… this in the middle of a workday. It turned out my phone was just zoomed in 35X, with a triple finger click it zoomed right out. I didn’t dare make eye contact with the Genius…
That night I got to see Nikki and Ethan Goldwater, which was great, but on the bike ride home, at around 1MPH, I hit a stretch of ice, the bike went diagonal and I fell off, banging my knee and popping the bike tire. From experience, I know how much worse it could have been, three different ways, so I guess we’ll call this good luck…
