Friday, May 20- Awesome Friday to kick off the NRA weekend, continuing on in the spirit of gradual improvements. First turn was smooth that I became worried we would be swamped: the team handled the big second turn with grace.

Notable guests: Max Wolod (former Xoco manager) and his father. Brian Rheude and family. Miguel Ruiz (longtime Frontera regular) and his wife. Bob McBroom, party of 4.

Mood Scale (single diner edition)- A single diner seated at table 72 (LB2) on the first turn was noticing wait for their appetizer more than our larger parties (no more than 15 actual minutes). Carlene was on top of it, expediting the aguachile for this guest, and paying extra special attention. I checked in after dessert and Carlene had clearly made this guest’s experience at 10. On the last turn, Leslie made wine pairings for a single guest dining at the bar, and later wrote them on a menu for this guest to take home. There is often more room to make a great experience for a solo diner, and it was awesome seeing the team go above and beyond for our single diners tonight!

MVP: Jose, who started training with us from Xoco, for buying the first bag of staff espresso.

Appreciation: Big thank you for the leadership (and creativity) from Lanie, Maria and the front staff ensured we had the right number of 4-tops.

Tom Skilling says…. nice weekend, even warmer next week (Tom getting to the point.)
