Saturday, May 21- Overview (in the words of our fearless lead host, Maria): All time record, with no drama, yayyy. 2-2-1, yayyy.
Mood Scale: Felipe was running a tres leches cake up to LB2, for table 73. The pastry chefs had written “happy anniversary” on the plate in chocolate – a beautiful job. Timing-wise, however, first one guest was in the washroom, and then the other. Felipe found me, and had me stand by with the anniversary dessert (the brave sorbet held firm!) so that he could get back to his duties (well done Felipe!) If we had dropped the pastry without both guest at the table, it would have fallen flat, and through teamwork we ensured it was another high for their anniversary dinner.
Notable guests: Manny, AM pastry cook at Xoco River North, and friends, 510 & 511. Partners of the Boka Group, 46. Brett Danish and friends, 32.
MVP: Sanita, who I observed continually offer small touches to go above and beyond for her guests.
Appreciation: Kelly, in addition to offering great knowledge and topnotch hospitality to our guests, always turns my frowns upside down.
