Paolo is a charming and engaging storyteller, and it was a pleasure to hear how they had chosen this plot for grape growing. It’s a unique piece of the Valle de Guadalupe, where the land is sometimes irrigated naturally by mountain stream.
The wines taste all the more minerally for it, whether in a balanced and daily enjoyable white or a bolder, meatier celebratory red. Villa Montefiori excels at both.
