Etta and I took Effie to Kai Zan for her birthday. We took part in the omakase, or chef's tasting menu. Effie loved the sushi and ate everything except the uni with raw quail egg. My friend Chiyo was working there while her other employer, the restaurant Juno, recovers from a kitchen fire.
