Low Country Captain

Chef Jason and I

The gentleman next to me is sous chef Jason. He is from Georgia, married (sorry ladies) with a baby (Hank) and one of the best chefs I’ve ever met. At work we call him the Low Country Captain (I’m the only one who calls him that) because he cooks low country cuisine. Jason has made gumbo, buttermilk biscuits, pepper jelly, fried catfish, smoked hog, and so much more awesome food. Jason’s food is my favorite, and his presence in my life has helped alleviate my fear of Southerners, which I’ve had since seeing the film, Easy Rider.

Jason really wanted to be on my blog, so I said, “Well… alright I guess. Just this once.”
