Eliot and I drove out to mansion land, Dover, MA, for an outdoor excursion in the Noanet Woodlands. We saw many dogs, mountain bikers, and those like ourselves; trail runners. We ran about six odd miles of trails and saw the city from Noanet Peak. Its good for my legs to get off the concrete. Deep in the wilderness, Els and I got spooked by a bear (actually a small white dog), and went deeper into the forest. We got lost. The bear (a joyous bichon frise) and the two dog walkers crept up behind us. The four of us discussed possible ways out of the woodland maze, and the bear’s handlers (two youngish dudes with long hair and laid back attitudes) reminded us that the sun sets in the West. We followed the sun back to the reservation, but they pressed farther into lands unknown.
I am worried they got stuck in the woods overnight, and had to eat that happy little dog.

Those wild dog-bear-cats. Gotta give them a wide berth.
In other news, has the 3rdarm read Endurance, the story of Shackleton and his band of polar explorers? Me thinks that is the read for him. I am reading it now.
Not much is really sacred.
