When I visited from Chicago Kate and Peter drove me to the summit. We drove at night in the dark. There were signs advising tires be chained. There were hairpin turns. It was icy. I got carsick.
I saw LA at night, the blacked out spot that is Griffith Park, the black Pacific Ocean. My sister and her husband are rugged folks. They have hiked the 16 mile route and I think it made them stronger.
We did it, it was hard. We then waited a bit and did it again.
