Friends Maya and Mazen were married in Chicago this past Friday, about a half mile from our apartment in an antiques warehouse. The space was beautifully lit and full of curiosities. I got to hang with old friends Leslie, Chelsea, Andrea, Julie and make new friends as well.
Mazen’s uncle sang a haunting blessing in Arabic. Between David Bowie, Madonna and pop were a couple Bollywood techno songs: I was out on the dancefloor for 3 hours!
