After work on Friday I had my first Italian Beef. I made it a special trip, with Etta and my friend Jonathan. This was after I found a blog that discussed the genesis of that sandwich, and compared it to the Beef on Weck, a sandwich that I used to serve in Inman Square, and which originated in Buffalo, NY. I wanted a meat sandwich dipped in juices. Veggie shmeggie.
I painted my face at work the next day for Halloween. Carlos, my boss and in fact The Boss, asked what my costume was. I told him the truth. I had fifteen minutes and some face paints.
