ULC Logbook, Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022:
We started with 47 covers (the total includes the 14 guests from the Sherman Room party). Two parties, for a total of 6 covers, cancelled. There were several same-day reservations, and for walk-in guests, we were joined by: 3 at 6PM (bar); 2 at 8:40PM (bar). We finished with 58 guests.
There were two orders for takeout: BA Mr. B. (placed by web), and Kimberly C. (placed by phone).
For BA’s, we were joined by: the A.’s, celebrating Diane’s 87th birthday (party of 2, tbl. 3); Chef Sal C. (party of 2, tbl. 4); John P. (party of 2, tbl. 22); Arthur N. (party of 2, tbl. 16); the S.’s (party of 2, tbl. 3); Pablo M. (bar).
In the Sherman Room, we were joined by 14 guests from Yale Internal Medicine.
John P. (party of 2, tbl. 22, served by R. I.) were two regulars from Jo Mackenzie’s days, who asked about Jean-Michel, and would like to send JM their best wishes. I gave John P. and his date a tour of the second floor. After dinner, Mr. P. commented they had enjoyed a fantastic dinner, with superb, witty service, and that loved being surrounded by so much great history. Bravo to R. I., Chef G., Jean-Michel, Madame Mackenzie, Roger Sherman, etc.!

We started with 94 covers (26 outside, 53 inside; the total includes 15 guests from the Sherman Room). Three parties, for a total of 7 covers, cancelled. We welcomed several same-day reservations throughout the evening. For walk-in parties, we were joined by: 8 at 5:10PM; 2 at 7:15PM (desserts only); 1 at 8PM. We finished with 106 guests (21 outside, 70 inside; the total includes 15 guests from the Sherman Room).

For BA’s, we were joined by: Christine W. (party of 8, half inside, half outside); Daphne E. (party of 2, tbl. 63); Ronald Z., contractor who completed historic renovation of our stairs to the Ballroom in 2004 (party of 2, tbl. 4); Gina L. (party of 8, tbl. 30); Mel Y. (party of 4, tbl. 5); the D.’s, celebrating Connor’s graduation (party of 6, tbl. 17); Marco V. (party of 4, tbl. 3); Jim P. (party of 2, tbl. 27); Gordon S. (party of 4, tbl. 22); Jim C. (party of 2, tbl. 2).
In the Sherman Room, we were joined by 15 guests from the Yale Alumni Academy.
Amy L. (party of 2, tbl. 19, served by A.) commented their experience was, “So, so good.” The L.’s send their thanks and compliments to the Chef for a delicious dinner, and to A. for his warm hospitality. Bravo A., Chef, and team!
