I have a unique appreciation for pulque, as a recovering alcoholic. Anything that is enjoyed primarily for social relaxation, like low alcohol beer, in a long session, seems like a pretty good idea for society.
The flavors and textures of pulque are exciting and delicious. Its cool that you can’t get stuff like this shipped up to the US. The organisms doing the fermentation wouldn’t survive the trip north: this stuff is alive.
It’s also pretty cool that you can mix flavors, and order takeout. They will re-purpose a Coke bottle for your pulque. And for the guys, Las Duelistas features a very traditional pulqueria urinal.
