A German (?) walk-in guest (party or 2, tbl. 19, served by D.) who was wearing a wide-brimmed summer hat and a broad smile commented: “Thank you, thank you. Very nice restaurant. We will definitely be coming back.” Bravo to D., Chef and team!
Ronald A. S. (party of 2, tbl. 26, served by P. M.) are friends of the artist who painted the murals in the ULC Clubroom — Sally Colbert. They said that unfortunately, Ms. Colbert, who now lives in the UK, has had long Covid for the past 3 months. The S.’s took photos of the murals, and I took photos of them with the murals, which they will be sharing with Sally Colbert along with our best wishes for her speedy recovery. The S.’s also said they’d enjoyed a lovely dining experience with us tonight. Bravo to P. M., Sally Colbert, and the S.’s!
Ethan Y.’s (party of 2, tbl. 24, served by D.) constitutional law professor recommended ULC for the historic site where Roger Sherman lived / George Washington visited: I showed Mr. Y. and his dining companion, a student whose residence is in the former Taft building, our replica portrait of Roger Sherman and I gave each a copy of the, “George Washington 1775,” essay. Bravo to D., Chef, R. (for covering me), Ethan Y. and his friend (for their interest in history), and to the constitutional law professor for making an awesome (historic) restaurant recommendation!
