ULC Logbook, Friday, November 19th, 2021:
We started with approx. 170. We made up for the reservations who arrived with less than the reserved for number of guests, and just a couple cancellations (mostly parties of 2), with walk-in’s at the beginning and end of the night, and a good number of guests who dined at the bar. We finished with 176.
For BA’s, we were joined by: Benedict C. (solo at the bar); Shawn M. (party of 2, at the bar); Michel D. (party of 4, tbl. 14); Linda V. (party of 2, tbl. 1); Richard P. (party of 2, tbl. 16); Priscilla D. (party of 2, tbl. 6); Richard P. (party of 2, tbl. 16); Natalie R. (party of 2, tbl. 12); Jeff L. (party of 4, tbl. 3).
Joanne M. (party of 3, tbl. 15) joined us for an early dinner before taking in the New Haven Symphony Orchestra at he Shubert, and thanked D. for the warm, timely hospitality, and Chefs G. and T. for the amazing cuisine (they especially loved dessert!)
Henry B. (party of 2, tbl. 6, second turn) formerly regular older couple, very fond of JM, who now live in northern Vermont, said their dinner was “better than ever,” and send their love to JP and JM, and their appreciation to C., RT, G. and Chef G. for keeping the standards better than ever.
Per R.: “Adaptation is key.”
The daughter of a guest at the A. M. W. reservation (party of 4, tbl. 112) had given us info for the gift of paying $50 of their parents anniversary dinner. P. failed to follow through.
In weather news, the big chill has arrived!
