ULC Logbook, Wednesday, December 8th, 2021:
We started with 111 covers. We had many large holiday parties, including a party of 16 for Yale Orthopedics in the Sherman Room, a party of 17 for Yale Medicine in the Clubroom, Mr. L.’s law firm Jacobs and Dow in the Ballroom, three parties of 7, and two parties of 5 (one of which was walk-in’s). We finished with 120 covers.
For BA’s, we were joined by: Jeffrey A. (party of 2, tbl. 14); Stephen H. (party of 2, tbl. 20); Hopkins School guests (party of 4, tbl. 1); Stephen B. (party of 2, tbl. 27); Teresa C. (party of 3 ,tbl. 12); Dr. Walter G. (party of 5, tbl. 19); and Benedict C. (solo at the bar).
We had one order for takeout, for BA Mr. B.
David L. (solo, tbl. 22) joined us as a same-day reservation for the Chef’s tasting menu. It was his first time dining with us, and Mr. L. commented that both the cuisine and service were exceptional, and that he will definitely be back.
Event highlights, per G.: For the lunch event in the Ballroom everything went well, the CEO thanked me on behalf of the team for the great service and said they will be joining us again soon; at the dinner event in the Ballroom, the main challenge was the many speeches which interrupted service, but we pulled through; everything was smooth in the Sherman Room.
