ULC Logbook, Saturday, February 19th, 2022:
When I printed the cover spread for the Chef just before 3PM, we had 183 guests reserved. A severe weather alert for an incoming snow squall was broadcast to all local phones by the National Weather Service at approx. 3:30PM. The squall WAS an intense weather event but it was also very short-lived in duration, being over in about 15 minutes. Unfortunately this caused the cancellation of at least three early reservations, and at the lowest ebb, the cover count dipped into the 170’s. By taking walk-in’s and same-day reservations over the phone we were able to make up for the difference and then some. We finished with 190 covers.
There was one order for takeout, placed over the web.
For BA’s, we were joined by: Elliot S. (party of 2, tbl. 19); Judith and Ralph N. (party of 2, tbl. 3); George C. (party of 4, tbl. 1); George A. (party of 2, tbl. 13); Ed W. (party of 2, tbl. 10); Dr. Sarwat C. (party of 4, tbl. 16); William M. (party of 2, tbl. 116); John K. (solo at bar); Steve V. (party of 4, tbl. 117); Dennis S. (party of 2, tbl. 7); Danny L. (party of 4, tbl. 3); David L. (party of 2, tbl. 8); Dr. Douglas R. (party of 3, tbl. 23); Peter P. (party of 2, tbl. 22); Frank B. (party of 3, tbl. 9).
Judith N. (party of 2, tbl. 3, served by R.) left a handwritten note: “My birthday dinner was just perfection. Many many thanks. -Judith N.”
Michelle V., seated at table 3, position 2, when she dined with us Friday, February 18, lost a gold earring. If it turns up, please call Ms. V. at 555-555-5555.
