For dinner in the Ballroom, we were joined by 30 guests from Yale School of Medicine’s G. M. S. Lecture.
Last night, Mr. B. joined us for dinner as a party of 3 at table 29. I spoke with Mr. B. and his guests before I left for the night. I highlighted for Mr. B. that the dessert he had received a preview photo of, a few weeks back, on the day Chef T. had her tasting with Chef G, was now being featured on the menu. When I returned to the restaurant today I learned that Mr. B.’s table had subsequently ordered 3 of the, “Financier aux Framboises”! I will be excited to share the feedback in this report the next time I speak with Mr. B.
Portia T. (party of 2, tbl. 7, served by D.) joined us for dinner on her birthday: Ms. P. is vegetarian and gluten-free. After dinner, Ms. P. commented: “Dinner was WONDERFUL. Everything I had was made perfectly for me.” Bravo D., Chef and team!

ULC Logbook, Saturday, May 14th, 2022:
We started with 185 covers, with a prix-fixe menu to finally celebrate the 2020 Commencement. Unfortunately several parties cancelled due to positive Covid tests and a couple parties no-called, no-showed (in one case even going so far as to cancel the credit card they used to make the reservation). R. is aware. We were joined by the following walk-in parties: 1 at 6:30PM; 4 at 7:15PM; BA Paul E. and his friend at 7:30PM. We finished with 171 guests.
We had two orders for takeout, both orders were taken over the phone, and both were for sweets at the beginning of service: Susan C. picked up a special Feiullentine cake for 5; we had a separate order for 2 desserts to-go.
For BA’s, we were joined by: Barry C., celebrating Mrs. C.’s birthday (party of 2, tbl. 9); Luca T. (party of 5, tbl. 13); Catherine K. (party of 9, tbl. 30); Pamela L. (party of 7, tbl. 6+); Lisa G. (party of 4, tbl. 22); Connie P. (party of 6, tbl. 1+); Casey R. (party of 6, tbl. 18+); Mike S. (party of 4, tbl. 20); Cloey F. (party of 6, tbl. 3); Betty C. (party of 11, tbl. 33+); Cynthia R. (party of 7, tbl. 31+); Mark L. (party of 3, tbl. 28); Cecilia W. (party of 3, tbl. 37); A. J. (party of 5, tbl. 5); Rachel B. (party of 1, tbl. 4); Monica D. (party of 7, tbl. 17); Alexander Van J. (party of 9, tbl. 26+); Ed K., who also joined us this past Thursday (party of 4, tbl. 3); Adina A. (party of 6, tbl. 16); Ryan M. (party of 6, tbl. 17); Alexander M. (party of 6, tbl. 13) — I made a note in the profile of all guests who joined us to belated celebrate Commencement 2020.
In the Ballroom, we were joined by 50 guests from Dr. R. A.’s party celebrating Abeyaz’s Commencement.
Cynthia R. (party of 7, tbl. 31, served by N.) commented: “This dinner was truly wonderful. The menu exceeded our expectations, and our server was amazing.” Bravo to N., Chef and the entire team! There were MANY more universally (AFAIK) positive guest comments tonight.
IMO, tonight’s MVP award goes to the dish team: they were on top of everything throughout service. Bravo for crushing it guys!
