For walk-in’s, we were joined by the following parties: 3 at 5:05PM; 1 at 5:30PM (bar); 2 at 6:10PM (drinks only); 3 at 6:15PM (pre-theater dinner); 2 at 6:25PM (bar); 5 at 6:40PM (3 for dinner, 2 drinks only); 3 at 8:15 (patio); 2 at 8:20PM (patio); 2 at 8:40PM (bar); 4 at 9:30PM (desserts only). On the first Saturday of meteorological summer, we finished with 142 guests.
We received a takeout order on the web for pick-up this Wednesday, June 8th, at 5PM (Chef is aware.)
For BA’s, we were joined by: John H. (party of 2, tbl. 4); Donald E. (party of 2, tbl. 61); Robert L. (party of 2, tbl. 13); Harold A. (party of 3, tbl. 60); Dr. L. and B. G. (party of 2, tbl. 63); James D. (party of 2, tbl. 64); Dr. A. M. (party of 4, tbl. 62); Kevin S. (party of 2, tbl. 6); Liza L. (party of 5, tbl. 3); Gilles T. (party of 4, tbl. 76); Dr. A. G. (party of 2, tbl. 79); The P.’s (party of 2, tbl. 24+).
In the Sherman Room, we were joined by approx. 16 guests for the 55th reunion of Yale Medical School’s Class of 1967. In the Ballroom, we were joined by approx. 40 guests for the 50th reunion of Yale Medical School’s Class of 1972.
Kevin S. and his wife (party of 2, tbl. 6, served by R.) LOVED R.’s hospitality and sense of humor. Mrs. S., who is a former Yale Architecture professor, said tonight’s dinner was, “absolutely exceptional. Your Chef cooks astonishingly well,” and the couple offered many more lovely comments to R.. Bravo R., Chef, R. and team!
The G.’s, who finally dined on the patio, said everything was, “beyond delicious,” and they are so happy to start joining us regularly again. The G.’s re-reserved for 4 guests at 6PM on Thursday, June 23rd.
The organizers of the Class of 1972 were so happy with their reunion experience; they did not join us for a cash bar afterwards (due in part to Barb), but I did get to talk with them and hear a few stories traded back and forth. Bravo C.F., Chef J., R. I., J. D. and team!
M., C. and J. supported the dining room; E. and M. supported the patio; D. supported the second floor.
Sunday: partly cloudy; 77F. Monday; mostly sunny; 80F — the condo association will be cleaning my aunt Judy’s gutters!
